Streets made of gold
Posted on April 20th, 2025 by RachealI am just blown away by the vastness of God's wisdom. As I went through Scriptures in search of truth I am just amazed at the wonders and consistency of God.
Right from when man was driven from Eden, and corruption overtook the earth, God has not rested. He had a plan ready, this is revealed in the pages of Scriptures on the working of God and the restoration of mankind and Eden as a dwelling for man.
The fall brought about great disruption and distortion to the plans of God on the earth, but God is omnipotent and knew even before it happened.
Adam and Eve were driven from the garden in order to prevent their eating of the tree of life so they won't have to live forever in a deprived state.
From Genesis to revelation the plan of God was very clear, to restore man back to its state before the fall and also re-establish them in Eden, the garden God planted.
Going through the last chapter of the book of Ezekiel (Ezekiel 48), I could see a clear road map of God's intention to restore man back to its original state.
In the division of the land for the twelve tribes of Isreal, the Lord instructed that a portion each be given to each tribe as inheritance. Of particular interest is the portion the Lord reserved for the priest who were faithful to Him.
God truly remembers, and will reward our labour, though men may forget. In the centre of the land is a special portion the Lord commanded to be set apart for Him.
An area in the center of this land will belong to me. It will be eight miles long and six miles wide. [10] I, the LORD, will give half of my sacred land to the priests. Their share will be eight miles long and three miles wide, and my temple will be right in the middle. [11] Only priests who are descendants of Zadok will receive a share of this sacred land, because they remained faithful to me when the Levites and the rest of the Israelites started sinning. (Ezekiel 48:9-11).
And for their faithful, even when the rest of the people and the Levites where sinning against God - they remained steadfast, the Lord gave them this portion of land. Right in the midst of this portion of land, the LORD commanded the temple to be built here. God never forgets our labour of love, man will forget, but when we least expect He appears suddenly, His reward in His hand to give to everyone according to how they have worked.
After the division of the land for each of the tribe of Isreal, the special portion reserved for God half of it He gave to the priests who were faithful, in the centre is the temple and the remaining portion for common use.
Also in this section of land which belongs to God is the city of Jerusalem situated. The city will be a square, and this section of land is sacred because of God's temple dwelling there. (Ezekiel 48:20).
After the Lord instructed how a portion each be given to each of the tribe of Isreal, and the special portion reserved for Him and also how He gave half of that special portion to the priests who were faithful and the centre for the temple, and a portion as common place as well as farming land for all the people of Isreal, He further commanded them to build walls about the city with twelve gates, three gates on each side of the walls about the city. Each of the gate is named after the twelve tribes of Isreal.
God gave this instruction on how the earthly Jerusalem was to be divided and shared amongst His people but this is also a pointer to how the new Jerusalem will be.
As I searched out the details and how specific the instructions and the sharing formula to be implemented in not just the division but also the location of the temple and the walls and how God remembered those who remain faithful to Him during the great fall away, I couldn't help seeing a correlation between what was shown to Ezekiel and what was revealed to John the Apostle in the book of Revelation.
John the Apostle said he saw the new Jerusalem coming down from God in Heaven. The city shown to John the Apostle was a square, with the gates named after the twelve tribes of Isreal, and the city was built on twelve foundation stones with each stones named after the Lord’s disciples. The city wall was built of Jasper, and each of the foundation was built of a precious stone. And each of the twelve gates where made of solid pearl.
Now the most exciting part of this magnificent edific is the make of the streets. The streets were made of pure gold! So pure that it appears like crystals. Yes, clear as crystal...just writing about these brings such excitement to my weary soul. Oh the beauty of this city is worth all the sufferings and pains that we may endure as we journey home. Nothing compares with it...no wealth, no pleasure, no nothings compares to the beauty of the new Jerusalem.
Yes, I was allowed to walk in the spirit on the streets, see my testimony (https://www.launchdeepmission.org/testimonies?page=1), it was clear as crystal and it glitters. Unlike the temple Ezekiel saw, the new Jerusalem has no physical temple because 'the LORD is there'.
Interestingly, this also is the name of the city as revealed to Ezekiel - The LORD Is There.' (Ezekiel 48:35), in the division of the land for Isreal
We can see clearly that the Old Jerusalem is a figure of what was to come, a pointer to the new Jerusalem!
God's wisdom is indeed far beyond our human understanding, there is no match for his vast knowledge. He is the fountain of all knowledge.
No wonder He said His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so also are His ways higher than our ways and His thoughts than our thoughts! (Isaiah 55: 8 - 9).
The redeemed, who have been purchased by the blood of the Lamb of God dwells in this temple and so God's presence is in the midst of His people.
No longer will we be consumed by His Presence but rather, we will see His face and still be okay. There will be no night there for the glory of the LORD radiate everywhere in the city - for, 'The LORD Is There'.
And yes, the river...it flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb, giving life to everything it comes across. On each side of the river is the tree of life, bearing different fruits each month. The fruits gives life and the leaves are for the healing of God's people.
I too found myself once in this river. It was clear as crystal and it washed the filth away from me on my journey to the throne room. As I emerged from this river, I was drawn towards the throne room where I could hear sounds of people worshipping God. I have no vocabulary to describe what I felt and the joy of joining in the worship.
Even as I write, I could understand my purpose, it suddenly became clear as daylight, the reason why I was given a second chance. Why I had to return to the earth realm, the main reason why God allowed me to live!
I have written many articles about the kingdom of God as revealed in Scriptures and anyone truly searching will find God in the pages of Scriptures!
The kingdom of God is likened to treasure that a man found and sold all he had to purchase it. Selling all to purchase it means turning 180 degrees to conform to the ways of the Kingdom. It doesn't mean you shouldn't live your life but rather live as a citizen of the Kingdom.
There are things you can't do as a citizen of God's Kingdom. It means you have to search out and live a life that will glorify God, not a life that conforms to the pattern or approved by man but one that glorifies God.
I speak not of what I heard someone say but rather I testify as to what I saw and witnessed. I am a witness also to these things, that I saw streets made of pure gold, clear as crystal such that they look transparent and a river so clear that it appears as though it were crystal...oh how my soul long to be there!
I and many out there testify to these things so that anyone doubting won't doubt anymore but rather believe. For your own good, you will do well to believe or search these things out if it is so or not.
As long as we are in this body we will groan, waiting for when we will be liberated from it and be translated to bliss.
God bless as you take stock of your affairs and make amends.
Shalom!
