Rhythm of love

When that day comes,” says the Lord, “you will call me ‘my husband’ instead of ‘my master.’
Hosea 2:16.
There is one thyme that has played out in all of Scriptures. Right through Genesis to Revelation, the Lord has not hidden how he has loved and cared for man.
In Genesis, God's intentions were clear in the order of creation. Man only came to the scene after God had created everything including where the man would live in and what he would eat.
All he needed do was just care for the beautiful garden God had taken care to plant and place them in.
The man and his wife had no lack of any kind, neither were they engaged in hard labour. He was just to care for and enjoy all the luxury the beautiful garden had to offer him.
Hard labour therefore was one of the consequences, an aftermath of their disobedience, not the original plan of God.
Then came the horrible fall, yet God didn't leave the man helpless and naked. Even when he issued his verdict on them, including how the man had to work real hard before he eats and the woman having to experience pains before bringing forth, He also spoke of a redemption through the child of the woman.
He killed the first animal and covered the man and his wife with the skin of the animal - His love overcame his judgement but man has to face and learn from the consequences of his choices.
In the course of time, mankind increased on the surface of the earth, and wickedness also increased exponentially along with them. But God was working out his plan of reconciling man to himself.
He called Abraham from amongst his family, taught him His ways, blessed him that all mankind would bless themselves through him.
The descendants of Abraham increased on the surface of the earth. They went to Egypt when there was a great famine on the earth, there God came to the rescue when they were oppressed and enslaved.
He gave them a prophet name Moses whom He preserved when the king of Egypt ordered all male children killed.
This same Moses by the help of the Lord lead God's people to a land flowing with milk and honey.
There the Lord gave them judges, prophets, and later kings to lead them.
One of such prophet was Hosea.
God's people dealt deceitfully with Him. They were unfaithful and Hosea was a sign to them of the kind of relationship that existed between God and His people.
Instead of a loving relationship where they would enjoy fellowship with God just like in the beginning, what their actions created was a master-servant relationship.
Hosea was told to marry an unfaithful wife - depicting the unfaithfulness of God's people, and yet God had not rejected them but rather still loved them. She gave birth to children in her unfaithfulness.
Even though she was unfaithful, yet Hosea was commanded to still love her and continue to have children with her!
This was what God was going through with his people but God told them that though He was angry with them, and His relationship with them was strained, a relationship that was like that of a master and servant, yet a time would come that his people would call Him husband and not master because their love for Him would be restored such that they would look unto him. Hosea 2:16.
At the fullness of time, the Messiah was born just as prophesied through the prophets and God showed what true love really is.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
The love of God for man was culminated at the betrayal, suffering and death of Jesus, Son of the living God.
What He went through for the sake of love was something no one had endured for love.
As His blood was poured out, it struck a chord creating a rhythm that could be heard all over creation.
It was a rhythm vibrating through all eternity. A sound like no other, separate, distinct and can be felt. It lie not.
It is the rhythm of love. Love for a world that is careless and oblivious to the fact that it's at the edge of eternity and only one thing is able to save her; acknowledging and reciprocating the love of God and living for Him.
Can you hear the sound of His love? It calls out daily to any and everyone. His love can be seen, felt and heard throughout creation.
The sky speaks of it, the earth and all that is in it testify about it. The ocean clap their hands in acknowledgement as they dance to the rhythm of His love song.
And mankind must decide what to do with the rhythm of the love of God. A love that speaks loader than mere words.
Are you ready to make that decision now and give no room to regrets?
God bless and give you insight by the help of His Spirit to know the true riches reserved for those who trust in Him.
Peace.
