 On the series of God's promises, we look at what the Scriptures says on Prayer.

 

James 5:16 

Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Philippians 4:6 

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Matthew 6:6 

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 6:9 

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 

Pray without ceasing.

Ephesians 6:18 

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

John 15:7

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Romans 8:26 

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

Numbers 21:7 

Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD , and against thee; pray unto the LORD , that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

1 Samuel 7:5 

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the LORD .

Jeremiah 18:19 

Give heed to me, O LORD , and hearken to the voice of them that contend with me.

1 Timothy 2:5 

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Hebrews 12:24 

and to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
