Worthless or noble words

Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you return, I will restore you; you will stand in My presence. And if you speak words that are noble instead of worthless, you will be My spokesman. It is they who must turn to you, but you must not turn to them.
As God's people, The Lord has placed us strategically to influence the environment we find ourselves in by speaking in agreement with His Word.
It may not be easy, and God didn't say it would, but as we recognise that we represent the One who called us, and who has promised to be with us in all things then we can stand and declare the Words of the Lord.
We need to be mindful of the fact that there is power in out tongues and so we use it carefully, speaking life and peace instead of confusion.
The Lord has placed before us the choice between life and death, good or evil. Whatever we speak therefore is based on the choices we have made.
If we choose life then lets speak life and the power of the Holy Spirit will bring our words to pass, for God spoke into being those things that were not as though they were. (Romans 4:17).
No doubt, so much is going on around us but we must see things from the eyes of faith. Faith in the supernatural power of God to turn things around even in the twinkling of an eye.
Samaria experienced a severe famine, to the extent that people began to do unheard of things that shouldn't be mentioned, and the mouthpiece of the Lord in the person of prophet Elisha said, thus says the Lord...and it came to be as he spoke (2 King 7: 16).
God honoured the words of Elisha even when a high ranking officer (the personal assistance to the king) spoke out the doubt he felt in his heart concerning the declaration of Elisha.
The consequences of his careless words concerning the Word of the Lord as declared by Elisha was that he would see the Word of the Lord fulfilled but not taste of it.
The Lord honoured Elisha's pronouncement and the officer died just as Elisha spoke.
He could see the supernatural provision of God for the people as declared by prophet Elisha, yet, he died because the king assigned him to the city gate to probably keep order, but he was trampled and he died according to thr word of Elisha. 2 kings 7:17.
As representatives of Christ, lets speak life and not confusion.
God said we will only truly represent Him if our mouth speaks what truly represent Godliness and what is precious.
How do we say we are representatives of Christ when our testimonies says something different from what we profess to be?
Our words should draw people to Christ and His course not send them out of His fold.
Jeremiah complained about the cost of his call, how he had suffered untold hardship because of the name of the Lord, and was even regretting the day his mother gave birth to him!
He was regretting and feeling sorry for himself on account of what he had suffered even from amongst the people of God, those who should know better.
Then the Lord spoke in response to his lament and self pity, warning him that for him to represent and be His mouth piece, His words must align with the God He represent, and it must be such that when he speaks the people will know that this is a prophet, a representative of God, His mouth piece, as such he must stop speaking as he was and start speaking good and precious words.
The Lord told Jeremiah and by extension God's people to declare His counsel, and that no matter what we see, we refuse to see as the world sees, but we see through the lens of His Word. We speak as God wants us to speak, His counsel, His purpose, and not the other way round.
Truly, the Church must align herself with the Word of God in order to influence the world, for it is the Word of God that has power to save and transform.
On our own we cannot and do not possess the power to change the world, but with God empowering our words, if we truly represent Him as His mouthpiece then the change we desire is possible.
God bless as we carefully weigh our words and actions as representatives of Christ and His Church.
Peace!
