The Casting Out or forth
Posted on December 9th, 2022 by RedeemedJohn 9:19-22
“Is this your son?” they asked. “Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?” “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don't know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself.” His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for already the Jews had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.
John 9:33-34
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.” To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!” And they threw him out.
I hear deep in my spirit the word ‘casting out’. The Pharisees agreed that anyone that believe in the name of Jesus be cast out and ostracized.
A casting out is coming and anyone who confesses Jesus as the Christ should make up their mind on what they believe. Know for sure that you will be hated, and isolated simply because you believe that Jesus is LORD.
This is the time when they that know their God will do great exploits.
Jesus did a notable miracle when He restored sight to the blind man, and it’s expected that people would rejoice with the man but unfortunately, the reverse became the case.
The question of tradition simply overshadowed the miracle Jesus wrought in the life of this man. The Pharisees were mad with him for not keeping their traditions and were looking for every available avenue to bring accusations against Jesus and those who professed faith in him.
They asked the blind man what he thinks of Jesus, and he said Jesus is a prophet but the Pharisees would not believe so they called the parents of the man. The parents confirm him to be their son but were afraid to go beyond this and wanted to play safe, and so would not say more than this.
A very sad situation, since the miracle that happened to their son was something to rejoice over but because of the intrigues playing out amongst the Pharisees they distanced themselves from their son! What a disaster.
The man who was healed spoke up, he knew that only God could open his eyes.
God is working in His Church and amongst His people, but the sad thing is that persecution comes from within and without the Church such that people are just confused and saddened. Some simply give up and leave.
The body of Christ is one, there is no division, though we are different and have different gifting and calling as distributed by God’s Spirit, we are one even as the Godhead is one.
Oh if we would watch our hearts so we don’t become a tool of division in the hand of the enemy. We must be careful so we don’t be another Judas Iscariot who dipped his hands in the same bowl as Jesus but because he wasn’t guiding his heart, the enemy took over his heart and he became the tool used to get to Jesus, even though this was according to God’s will.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
The table of our hearts should be for the Lord, so we don’t give in to the flesh.
I don’t know how this will be playing out or from whence it’s coming but I hear a casting forth of God’s people is coming and we need to be prepared.
I also believe in the power of prayers and I know all things are possible with God.
The Church must pray without ceasing for God to give us rest.
God bless.
Peace.
