The Light
Posted on December 7th, 2023 by RedeemedGenesis 1:
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
God by example showed us as recorded in the book or Genesis chapter number 1, verses one down to three that light is key for any developmental stride. Inventions are borne out of a need or a solution to a need.
In the beginning we are told by Scriptures that the earth was in a state of despair and immersed in darkness. When darkness is the order, there is no traction, because of lack of visibility and no room for growth and development - a scene similar to pre-creation becomes inevitable.
To kick start creation, scriptures tells us, the All-Wise God brought light into existence by speaking it into being after His Spirit made a survey of the earth. God is Light, and the earth could experience the God life – post creation, when God came into the earth scene. He invaded earth and brought order into it, by bringing of Himself into the earth realm – for He is Light (no darkness in Him) and his Light became the life and light that shines in men. (John 1:4).
Therefore, as long as the Light is present, then life will be anywhere the light is. The absence of the Light also means the absence of life, for life only came to be when the light was introduced.
The more of the Light indwelling us, the more of life we have as individuals and as nations. Looking at the world and the happenings all around us, it’s heartbreaking to see that though we could choose to have a better world, but mankind has chosen its path, a path that wants to exclude the source of life. Excluding the Light also means untold pains and anguish on the earth, we can’t have it both ways. The Presence of the Light is the presence of peace, tranquillity, abundance, and life. Likewise, the absence of same will result in a pre-creation condition.
I have heard people talk of things such as if God is so powerful, why does He allow sufferings and wars? Why does He allow injustice and the likes?
The answer to this is, mankind decides what happens on earth because he has given man authority to represent Him on earth, (Gen 1: 26 – 27) but if we will allow Him as individuals or nations, he will step into our situations and give us the relief we sought.
Revelation 21:1-7 (KJV)
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
The LORD, has promised to restore all things and make His dwelling amongst us. Scriptures describes in detail how the earth will be and what it will be like living in His Presence. All manner of evil will be absent in the new heaven and earth God promised to create. Just reading it gives me a joy I can’t even explain, for many I am sure long for a world without the bitterness, the backbiting and backstabbing, the envy and strive, the hatred, and all manner of wickedness. A world where everyone have a chance to be who we were created to be.
Revelation 21:23 - 26 (KJV)
23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
The above scriptures clearly showed that God is Light, and His glory, so intense that there will be no need for the sun and the moon to lighten the new earth. Wherever the light is abundant, development and progress will also be abundant, for scriptures tells us that the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into the city.
This is a world everyone craves for, and I know for sure it will come to pass as it is written.
Gods bless.
Peace.
If you will, you can be part of the saved as mentioned in Revelation 21, verse number 24. A simple prayer of faith is all you need to be saved. You can tell the LORD in your own words that you recognise and accept what he did at calvary. Ask him for his forgiveness and invite him into your life as your saviour, and to write your name in the book of life, and give you His Spirit to help you live for him.
If you prayed the above prayers, you are saved as the LORD has promised. Look for a Bible believing Church around you and beginning to learn more about your heritage as a child of God.
