The Rescue

1 “At that time Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your nation, will arise. Then there will be a time of anguish greater than any since nations first came into existence. But at that time every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued.
The world and its system is speeding on and Scriptures are fulfilled on a daily basis.
The old and new testament agrees and when one look critically, the Lord helps us to understand that the old testament points to the new.
Looking at the opening Scriptures we see that it is referring to the great tribulation, the great testing on all who will be on earth then.
It is a time when the world will experience its birth bang like never before.
The bible tells us nothing like it has ever being nor will ever be again.
Such description make the horrors of wars in the past loose their place or records of pains and distress.
What will happen as described by Scriptures during the great tribulation will be so vile and spread across all nations such that nothing will equal to it before nor after it again forever.
As long as one is under the surface of the earth one is automatically going to experience it but a certain group of people will be exempted from tasting it.
Different books in the Scriptures in both the new and old testaments referred to this event and that should be warning to anyone that these things are sure to be.
Daniel said, 'every one of your people whose name is written in the book will be rescued.'
The reason why they will be rescued was because they feared and have reverence for God enough to believe His word. And because they believed, their names are written in the book.
What therefore is this book?
'The book,' is a reference to just one book not many books.
It will interest you to know that David the king, who seems to also possess other gifts spoke about the book of life. In his moment of trials he referenced it and petitioned God concerning it in relation to those who were persecuting him then.
He prayed God to deal with the wicked by erasing them from the book of life! (Psalm 69:28).
That petition was rather severe, but we must also not forget from where this prayer came from. He was made to run for his life, leaving his home and all that was dear to him, all these as a result of no sin he committed.
He was treated with contempt and became a fugitive because of what was spoken concerning his life and in despair he prayed that prayer.
May the Lord help us and shield us from all evil.
Isaiah also mentioned that the righteous, and those who will still remain in Jerusalem and in Zion will be holy and their names written in the book of life. (Isaiah 4:3).
Remaining in Zion could also mean those who did not turn their back on God as a result of the challenges of life.
Jesus said concerning the book of life that everyone, more so believers should take seriously.
He said those who are victorious will be clothed in white and that he will not erase their names from the Book of life. He also mentioned that he will confess them before His father and his angels that they are his!
The above Scripture confirms that only one way given to men by which they would be saved. (John 14:6).
It is also a confirmation that we must be careful because the book can be updated by the owner - those who remain in Zion are also those whose name will remain in the book of life.
All who are victorious will be clothed in white. Jesus said,
"I will never erase their names from the Book of Life, but I will announce before my Father and his angels that they are mine."
- Revelation 3:5 NLT
Victories only come after a fight, and everyone who name the name of the Lord should know this.
We live in a world of unprecedented wickedness and its only by God’s grace that we overcome.
We will overcome only in the name of the Lord, and by remaining in Him. Our victories is only in Him not outside of him. Many have been pulled away by numerous things, including those they thought they could trust.
Isaiah puts it perfectly. Whoever will remain in Zion...will be called holy Isaiah 4:3.
The book of life spoken of by the Scriptures is a record containing the names of God's people.
The people who surrender their lives to God and believed God's work of salvation through Jesus in a world heading to destruction.
Sometime ago, I was bothered about the goings in the world and I brought the matter before the Lord in prayers. As I poured my heart to God, I began to hear in my spirit the things that made me rethink my priorities and how I should live my life.
What I heard in my spirit startled me and I realised Scriptures actually spoke of them, just that it wasn't clear to me then and I had not understood then the way I did now.
What is actually the fate of this world? Will it last?
Why did God care so much about preaching about the Kingdom of God and what we need to do to be partakers?
Why did those who found the Kingdom ended up trading all for the Kingdom?
Why did Jesus command that we should sow where neither thieves nor moth can destroy our treasures?
These thoughts flooded my heart and actually made me began to ponder on what is really important, and where one should focus their energy even as we go about our daily activities?
Have we looked at what Jesus said about sowing? Are we sowing unto death or life?
Jesus said that of all the Father has given him none should be missing and that he should raise them up on the last day. John 6:39.
Many found too late that they built on quick sand.
They spent life building what would not last forever even though some where aware, but yet they made decisions that affected their salvation for ever.
The ways of God are not glamorous and popular. Infact, the world hate them and we should constantly measure our actions by the word of God, for that is the standard.
The world can never applaud what is truly God but rather, it will seek to destroy it but thank God for victory He already won. All we need do is walk in it.
God's Word will stand, no matter what. (Psalm 119:89, Matthew 24:35, Isaiah 40:8).
Now, Scriptures tells us the world and all in it are passing away, (1st John 2: 17), but there is something that will last forever. Those who do God's will, will live on forever.
Two different sets of people exist in this world, a world that is passing away in time as God has determined due to the activities of man - those who will pass away with the world and its systems and those who will live on forever.
The Lamb's book of life (Revelation 21:27 ) contains the names of those made righteous by faith in the redemptive work of God through the Lamb who was slained for the salvation of the world, and he said he will confess them before the Father and His angels that they are His.
He is not only acknowledging them before the Father, he has also made plans to shield them from the birth pangs the earth and all in it will experience.
Many have made their own plans, thinking they could be excused from the events Scriptures spoke about.
They are aware these things must happen but the way they went about preparing for it leaves a lot of questions about the wisdom of man.
They could not bring themselves to trust the plans of God in Christ and through Christ and so they fashioned out their own plans hoping to escape what they know will come to pass some day.
One may ask, can man made plans stand what is coming upon the earth?
God's plans are revealed in His word for anyone interested to search and see. Scriptures were democratised at great cost to those God used then so that everyone can search the truth for themselves.
You cannot toy with the decision of where you spend your life forever to chance. Take the time to search out things for yourself.
God promised to remove His own from the earth forever by the time these things begin to happen.
God's people will know its time to leave when the command comes from heaven and we will be transported from this earth to be with God forever.
Jesus said to John the Apostle as recorded in the book of Revelation 3:10.
“Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world."
Jesus said the trials will come upon everyone in the earth realm. Anything and everything on the earth will be affected.
Prophet Joel said something that should interest those who think human wisdom can fashion out plans that will keep them away from the trials coming upon the earth.
Hear what Joel said,
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.
The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.
The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.
- Joel 3:14-16.
It is clear that the earth, moon, sun, star and the heavens will also be affected by these events, and so based on these information, the multitude in the valley of decisions should make informed decisions.
Think carefully of the choices before you.
Technology is good, but technology will be limited by the mighty power of God that will come to play when these things start to unfold.
What will happen will be so severe that God has planned before hand to take His own from the earth realm, He will rescue those who put their faith in Him.
Everyone gets to pass through this valley where decisions of life and death are made. I made mine to live for God and God alone.
God bless as you make yours armed with these information.
Peace.
