Alive through Christ (Part 2)

Alive through Christ (Part 2)

Posted on September 16th, 2022 by Redeemed

Roman 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

To have life or live one must walk in the Spirit. The above scripture is a testament that walking after the flesh will ultimately lead to death because the desires of the flesh are contrary to that of the Spirit. Being in Christ means we are born of His Spirit, and the Spirit is a life giver. If He is in us we have life, His absence also means death! Harsh, but that is the truth.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. Roman 8:2.

Sin brought death to man but God changed all that in Christ by reason of His sacrificial death (the mystery of the Cross) and His resurrection from the dead through the Power of His Spirit.

In the book of Genesis 1:2 scriptures said the earth was not only lifeless, but it was also empty and in deep darkness (a very fearful state). Then came the Spirit of God, hovering over the surface of the deep. And God began to call into being those things that were not as though they were! Genesis chapter 1, is a clear demonstration of the life giving Power of the Spirit of the Living God, for He is God of the living not of the dead. Matthew 22: 32

Scriptures abound of the life giving power of the Spirit of the living God. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will also quicken our mortal body if He dwells in us. Roman 8: 11.

In Ezekiel 37: 1 - 14, Scriptures told us of dry bones in the valley and how the prophet Ezekiel was commanded to prophesy on the bones, and command breath from the four winds; the prophet prophesied as he was commanded, and the bones were restored and life came on them by the Power of the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God will act on the spoken Word of God.

Again we were told after the death of Elisha, a man who was being taken for burial happened to be dumped in the sepulchre of Elisha, and when this dead man’s body touched the bones of Elisha, he was revived and lived! 2 Kings 12: 21.
God’s gift are without repentance. He doesn’t give as we humans, when the LORD gives, He gives completely. How we use the gift is our responsibility.

In John 25:6, Jesus said, “ If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned”.

Every branch in a tree draws nutrients from the tree, and is only because they are nourished that they live and are fruitful. We must therefore remind ourselves who and what we are living for.

I pray for the grace to recognize the source of our being, and also for wisdom to choose wisely in life’s journey.

God bless.

You can accept Jesus right now if you will, by saying this prayer.

Father, in Jesus Christ name I pray.

You said in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I am sorry and repent of all the sins I have committed. Wash me with the blood of your Son Jesus Christ, and make me whole. Write my name in the book of life and give me the power to live for you.

Thank you Father for it is done. Amen.
