God’s Business
Posted on September 30th, 2022 by RedeemedJohn 4:35-38 KJV
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Jesus told His disciples this story about the Harvest being ripe. All around us people just need to see the demonstration of the love of God.
I can hear the sound of revival coming. The Church of Christ here on earth must wake up to her responsibility. We are called to be fishers of men. No doubt we need food, clothing, shelter and all of that but God has promised to provide those if we seek first what is required (His Kingdom!). The King takes care of His Citizens just as it is the responsibility of government to take care of its people by making policies and laws that ensures they thrive.
God is a better Leader, and He has demonstrated this over and over in Scriptures. He died to redeem mankind, the people He created in His image after His likeness. When they chose to believe a lie He did not abandon them.
He took on the form of man, walked in their midst, healed them, delivered those that were possessed of demons, those whom the justice of men would condemn and destroy, He told their accusers, be the first to cast that stone if you’re without sin, by so doing He demonstrated that mercy is better than judgement.
He has shown over and over again that mercy and love is what the world needs.
The business of God therefore requires us to cooperate with His Spirit in the ministry of reconciliation.
Corinthian puts it like this;
2 Corinthian 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
The Lord wants mankind to know their sins are forgiven, and they could truly live lives free from sins and it’s consequences. He wants mankind to know that what they seek for is prepared for them but in a better place for this world and everything in it is passing away. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t live our lives, but rather to live knowing one day we will have to account for our times on earth.
He has gone ahead to prepare mansions for as many as are willing to be with Him.
The message Jesus preached and we should preach is the message of the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 9:37-38
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
The harvest indeed is plenteous and the Lord wants us to pray for labourers who will help with the harvest. The fields are white and the harvest will soon take place. On a daily bases, harvest is actually ongoing.
In a vision I had some time ago, I actually saw that the number of people that die daily is likened to a sea of people; they were so many. And in this multitude I saw that not one was saved, they all chose the broadway. I realized that it was the choice they made; not one was forced, they CHOSE where their final destination would be.
Jesus said to his parents when they were looking for him after the feast of Passover in Jerusalem as recorded in the Gospel of Luke;
Luke 2:49
49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
We must be therefore willing labourers, who have counted the cost and are willing to cooperate with His Spirit to spread the good news of the Kingdom to a dying world. We too like Jesus must be about our Father’s business!
God bless. Peace…
You can accept Jesus right now if you will, by saying this prayer.
Father, in Jesus Christ name I pray.
You said in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I am sorry and repent of all the sins I have committed. Wash me with the blood of your Son Jesus Christ, and make me whole. Write my name in the book of life and give me the power to live for you.
Thank you Father for it is done. Amen.
